patong is amazing! for nightlife aswell as shopping. markets are fab but always make sure you haggle with the prices. trainers no more than 800 baht also handbags they will drop prices. tuk tuk to get around no more than 200 baht to get around everywhere. street food is amazing and restaurants charge 3-7% surcharge. but everyone is friendly and so kind hotels are clean and worth every penny! bangla road has some good bars one club to check out is Sugar Club. music is really good. also honky tonk bar and smiley bar. dj is awesome. everytjing is walking distance so explore. also do phi phi islands which works out 1,500-2000 baht only.
