It was set up by a private Randwick president specifically for the 1986 cricket games, an international venue with the highest Test cricket world record scores of 952 against Sri Lanka and India. Away from the noisy CBD business circle. If you want to watch cricket with fun and passion, Premadassa Stadium is the place where you will find out how Sri Lankans appreciate cricket. The Papare band was playing, people dancing on the island, dancing on their seats, having a great time... the best part was... unlike their bigger neighbors, Sri Lankan fans wouldn’t be too frustrated because their team lost, the concert went on, the dance went on. They love their team to win, but happiness is paramount... Premadassa Stadium is not the best facilities, and getting to the stadium can be a bit difficult. For anyone who wants to experience the Sri Lankan way to watch and enjoy cricket, I highly recommend the A upper and B upper stands.
