The temple was expanded by Zen Master Zhigong in the second year of Emperor Wu Yongding (558), and the second year of Emperor Wu Zetian (691) The name was changed to "Dayun Temple", and the edict was "Longxing Temple" in the sixth year of Kaiyuan reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (718). In the fifth year of Huichang of Tang Wuzong (845), the temple was abandoned as a leisure place. In March of the following year, Wuzong died and Xuanzong succeeded. In the second year of Dazhong (848), it was predicted that the Zen master would rebuild Longxing Temple. It covers an area of more than 80 acres, with four main halls, multiple side halls, more than 100 statues, more than 100 resident monks, and more than 150 houses.
