It is a must visit food place. Just a small restaurant but yet serve variaties of Nepali food. It serve halal & vegetarian food
Halal food in Pokhara is hard to find, there's only 2 restaurants serves halal food. This one is easier to reach. It's just in the heart of Pokhara's tourist attraction. The food is tasty. But it's expensive & slow serving. But totally worth the wait. Worth the try if you are craving for halal food & can't wait until u reach your home country for halal food.
I went there to eat some meat as I was bored of eating vegetarian. First thing I notice was the price, it was definitely a bit expensive. But I was hungry so I just ordered. I had to wait quite long for my food to be ready, I just ordered MoMo.. all they have to do is to fry it, but it took a while for food to arrive, and the taste was just average. There is another Halal restaurant called Lazeez, which a bit more difficult to locate but the food is cheaper and taste better and faster services too and much better seating/dining atmosphere.
This restaurant is expensive because of one reason only, IT'S HALAL!!! Like any other restaurant in Nepal, food has to be cooked per order. Some meals cost more than double price in other restaurant, although its a simple place, but the food comes in good presentation. It cost almost from 4-9 USD per person for one meal, which is high price according to Nepali standard.
