Tyn Church is located in Prague's Old Town Square and is one of the conspicuous buildings in the Old Town. The gray-black Gothic spires and twin towers are its more prominent symbols, and the whole church is deep and mysterious. Historical background The history of the Tyn Church dates back to the 12th century and was originally a Romanesque church. In the 14th century, Peter Parléř, who presided over the construction of the Charles Bridge and St. Vitus Cathedral, took over the construction of the Tyn Church, and in 1380 changed it into the Gothic church we see today. The Tyn Church occupies an important place in Prague's history and has been the symbol of the Czech state and the Prague Cathedral since the time of the Huss. The beautiful High Tower Tien Church is a representative building in the old town of Prague. A pair of bell towers are towering like clouds, reaching 80 meters high, forming the front of the church. Each tower has 4 spires, which constitutes a "tower in a tower". "Wonderful sight. The top of the tower is decorated with slender round rods of pure gold, which look like flames from a distance. If you look closely at these two towers, you will find that they are slightly different. One of them looks taller and more majestic, and is said to represent Adam, while the other symbolizes Eve. On the triangular roof between the towers, there is a pure gold statue of the Virgin Mary, which is very dazzling in the sunlight. The main entrance of the Tien Church is located on the west side, and you need to pass through the narrow alley in front to reach it. The facade is very inconspicuous. You can also enter from the north gate. The curved zenith relief of Jesus on the cross at the north gate is by Peter Paller himself, which is worth seeing. The interior of the church is magnificent, the main altar is decorated with gold leaf, and the decorative painting is from the Czech painter Karl Skreta. The church also preserves the old Prague pipe organ, which is an outstanding representative of the European pipe organ in the 17th century. The great Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe is also buried here, and you can pay homage to his exquisite marble tombstone. The Tien College next to the church preserves the Gothic arcades of the 14th century. Now it has been converted into restaurants and cafes. Because it faces the Old Town Square, it is a good location for rest and sightseeing. It is often crowded. If you are tired, you may come here. Sitting here. After visiting the church, you can go to the nearby Old Town Hall and Prague Astronomical Clock to take a look. It is also worth mentioning that the Tien Church at night is more mysterious under the illumination of the lights. Don't forget to come and see its charm.
