What people are saying:

This park is long and slender, and it is in the middle of the river. Before, it was difficult to imagine how there would be a park in the middle of the river. After arriving, I realized that it belonged to a small island in the middle of the river, in the middle of the bridge. There are stairs to go down.

Additional Information

The island of Kampa on the Vlatva river in Prague was named in the 17th century as the campus – field – by Spanish soldiers, during the Battle of White Mountain. For centuries, washerwomen would gather here to wash their laundry u sing water from nearby flour mill wheels. Today, the island attracts dog-walkers, picnicking lovers and frisbee throwers.
