Redang Island is located on the northeast coast of the Malaysian state of Terengganu. It is widely held to be one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia and is a famous tourist destination. The ocean in the area abounds with over 500 kinds of beautifully colored coral reefs, over 1,000 kinds of molluscs, and 3,000 kinds of fish. It is an ideal place for snorkeling and diving. It is also well worth checking out the island’s tropical rain forests.
The Redang Island is situated just off the coast of Terengganu and looks out onto the South China Sea. There are hundreds of vibrant coral reefs with thousands of varieties of bivalves and numerous fish species. The island has been listed as a marine nature reserve by the Malaysian government which prohibits fishing in the surrounding waters and removing wildlife such as corals and shellfish. Thanks to these effective measures, the ecological environment of this area has been well protected.
Lang Tengah Island is a small island between Perhentian Islands and Redang Island. It is inhabited by many eagles. The island is small and has few visitors; however, it is very beautiful and peaceful. It is an excellent location for scuba diving. The ocean water around the island is clear, and underwater scenery is spectacular. The sand is soft and tiny, and there are coconut trees all around the island. It is the filming location of the movie "Love You You".
