Dataran Merdeka dahulunya dikenali sebagai Padang Kelab Selangor terletak dipusat pentadbiran lama Kuala Lumpur. Pada asalnya ia merupakan padang kriket bagi Kelab Selangor (kini Kelab diraja Selangor)Dataran Merdeka, formerly known as Padang Kelab Selangor, is located in the old administrative center of Kuala Lumpur. It was originally a cricket ground for the Selangor Club (now the Selangor Royal Club)
Merdeka Square is a renowned historical landmark in Kuala Lumpur city centre.
