A day out at May Fourth!

May Fourth Square, Donghaixi Road, Shinan. On a cloudy day with not much idea of what to do, we took a stroll through May Fourth Square. The May Fourth square monument is a landmark in Qingdao, so niceto go see if you are visiting. It was great to walk along the ocean and get some fresh air. There were a lot of locals around, flying kites and taking pictures. It was a lovely view of the city, even with the fog. Definitely reccomended for a day out. There are a few nice restaurants, barbecue and cafes and the end of the pier to enjoy a bite or a coffee. Unfortunately we went during the day, so we didnt get the chance to see the city light up. May 4th Square in Qingdao

The central part of the city and one of the main touristic destinations for lots of people. To get to this place is quite easy, by subway, May Fourth station. It’s a beautiful square, by the sea, with picturesque sea view. It is surrounded by skyscrapers. This place is especially beautiful in the evening. You can see a light show here. And all the tall business centers are in lights. May 4th square is a very popular photo location. Everyone who visited Qingdao has a photo with that red sculpture 😉. It’s a good point to start exploring the city from here. After the square you can walk all along the bind and enjoy other sightseeings. #bucketlistreboot
