Qingdao is a beautiful coastal city that has made countless tourists yearn for love. Although the city is only around 100 years, it has become one of the most famous and historical cultural cities in China. It has the reputation of being the Switzerland of the Orient. There are many old buildings in Qingdao. Together with the red tiles of the buildings, the blue sea and the blue sky, they have become one of the most distinct and beautiful places in Qingdao.
In fact, most of these old buildings were left by Germany and Japan during the occupation of Qingdao and have a profound cultural heritage. Walking into Signal Hill Park, you can see a lot of plaques hanging on the wall at the entrance. One of them is the "social classroom". This one was very attractive to me. Signal Hill a good place to see the flowers. It is a good place to witness the development of Qingdao. Qingdao was once the only battlefield in Asia during the First World War.
Christ Church in Qingdao
Christ Church is a famous religious building in Qingdao, and is one of the national cultural relics that is protected. It is located on the hill in No. 15 Jiangsu Road, Shinan District, Qingdao, and is adjacent to the beautiful Signal Hall Park in the East.
It is a typical German castle-style building. It consists of a bell tower and an auditorium. The style is dignified and the lines are clear and concise. The solid walls, semi-circular arched granite window frames, steep red roofs and green spires all give it a unique aesthetic of a religious building. At the top of the church is a 39-meter high clock tower, commonly known as the "Clock House."
My trip to Qingdao is to watch the drifting fog in the evening, visit the tavern to listen to the performance, to walk along the Dess Church, and to eat ice cream and crab on the university road. When you are on the ferry, Zhujidao, you will feel the sea breeze blow. You can visit the creative market as well. The early summer here is a bit chilly and life here is a little slow.
The charm of Qingdao is in the old city, and its scenery can be summarized as red tile green trees, blue sea and blue sky, with a strong exotic flavor and fascination. Walking in the old city of Qingdao can be seen everywhere in the quaint old house, but to enjoy the whole picture, you can only go to the top of the mountain.
Qingdao Old Town has a park, which is the best place to enjoy the scenery of the old city. This is Signal Hill Park. At the top of Signal Hill Park, there are three red, mushroom-like buildings that can be seen from far away. There are many hills in the urban area of Qingdao, and Signal Hill is the taller one.
Signal Hill is 98 meters above sea level. It is close to the sea. It was a place for navigation to and from Jiaozhou Bay more than 100 years ago. The mountain tops hang various signal signs and weather and wind signs every day. Now it is open to tourists. Park. Signal Hill Park tickets are 5 yuan, and the Peak View Observatory charges 10 yuan, which is very good value.
The three circular buildings on the top of the mountain, the tallest one in the middle, is the rotating observation deck. Visitors only need to find a chair near the window to sit down, you can change 360 degrees to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the old city. There are many red-roofed houses nearby, and the famous Christ Church is not far below.
From the observation deck, the Zhanqiao, Xiao Qingdao Park, Catholic Church, Governor's Mansion and other attractions are unobstructed, and the east is the new city.
The most precious thing is the winter sun. Walk through the ups and downs of Qingdao, walk through Ocean University, and advance to the top of the mountain with three red balls. It is Signal Hill, where it used to signal the ships that passed through Jiaozhou Bay.
Climb the stairs uphill and finally see the entrance to the park. Three tickets for admission to the park and ten tickets for the Red Ball Observation Deck are really close to the people. The inside of the red ball is spinning. Visitors come and go, sit down, circle, overlook Qingdao, watch its sunset, watch it sink in the night and be illuminated by city lights.
Downhill is thirsty and hungry. Today, Qingdao has not been able to find the ubiquitous roadside stalls a few years ago, and wants to eat grilled squid. The export was deserted. There was only one big pharmacy. I went in and bought a bottle of honeysuckle, which was cool and cold. It was packed in a glass bottle.
Signal Hill Park is located in the center of Qingdao. It was named after the signal station used for directing ships.
Signal Hill is 98 meters above sea level. The three red top mushroom-shaped buildings at the top of the hill can be plainly seen. You can view the beautiful scenery of Qingdao in 360 degrees in these rotating view mushroom towers. There is a surf observation deck at the southern slope of the hill, which is a great location to photograph old German castle-style guesthouses.
