We saw the theatre sign on our way to another more casual restaurant, strolled up the stairs and decided we were dressed just right. Looking forward to an expensive dinner (for Quito), we were shocked to see a superb Epicuru experience that made the price look rather low in quality and service. The perfect blend of flavors shocked us even more. Each dish is presented in a beautiful way and the staff is very attentive. Highly recommend for those looking for food in Quito.

I asked a few people in Quito that we should have a good, but reasonable meal. The first suggestion for everyone is Theatrum. In the historical center, Theatrum is located on the second floor of the building on the square. I didn&rsquo;t notice if they had an elevator, so I don&rsquo;t know if they can accommodate people who can&rsquo;t climb up about 15 stairs. Be sure to try the citrus juice salmon. In Ecuador, you add popcorn (who knows?) and their version of corn nuts.
