The environment here is good, Lai’s tastes are excellent, fresh and delicious, exquisite workmanship, moderate prices, good service, and it is worth tasting.
Though the service was fine, the speed of food to table acceptable, the general experience was not good. Empty on a Friday afternoon, I understand why. Average dishes, mild flavors, and only 2 brands of beer.
We had dinner out there. Food portions not to big-but tasty. Food overpriced and small beers almost 5$ - it is a rip off- but atmosphere, view on the street and tasty food generally makes it a good impression.
My family and I recently visited Q in Plaza Foch for breakfast on Mother's Day. They had a 2x1 promotion so we decided to give it a try. We arrived there early at 8_30 as being a large group that was the time when they could accommodate all of us. The place is nice and simple, nothing fancy but comfortable and clean and they had arranged a nice long table for our group. I was a little surprised though that more than one person from the staff told us not not leave personal items on the table when we approach the buffet... nice of them to warn us but it left me a little worried and self-conscious throughout the couple of hours we were there, always checking on my stuff to make sure I still had them with me. The food at the so called "buffet" was average. They had what it seemed to be a nice variety of flavors of natural juices (maybe 4 kinds) but they were all watery, did not have much flavor. At first they had some really delicious and soft mini croissants which were great with a very nice berry jam, but once the place started crowding up they seemed to run out of the good stuff and after an hour all the bread they had was plain sliced bread and no more jelly. They had a selection of cheese and hams and in terms of hot items they offered scrambled eggs, sausages and some turnovers (local dish) which were good. They also had some fruit, small yogurts in plastic individual bottles and basic cereal and granola. They ran out of products very fast though and the line of people waiting for food was very long. It might not be all the time that this happens, maybe they oversold the promotion and did not realize they were going to have all that people but food was gone with little replenishment very quick and it took forever to get a clean bowl or extra plate. Staff was nice, telling you "it's coming", "I'll bring some" but it took them quite a while, they were definitely understaffed. Coffee was supposedly served at the table by waiters but it was impossible to get a cup, we
