In the eastern part of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, there is a majestic mountain range called Aljibar. It is part of the Hajar Mountains, which begins on the Musandam Peninsula and extends south to the Sur region of Oman. This mountain range was formed more than 70 million years ago. The main peak is 1,930 meters above sea level, and a distinguishing feature of this mountain range is the abundance of dry-season riverbeds, as well as numerous trails suitable for hiking and mountain biking.
