Pattaya Buddha Image on the mountainOn this trip to Pattaya I decided to go somewhere little bit away from the Pattaya town. Just 20 minutes drive from Jomtian Beach you can arrive to Khao Chi Chan Buddha Image. You can arrive here by car or taxi. This place is very famous not only for tourists, but I also saw so many local people. Around this mountain very nice nature. You can take a lot of nice photos for your social media accounts. Car park is for free here and a lot of good restaurants here. #timetotravelAsiatique28

Buddha Mountain PattayaThe northern face of Khao Chi Chan bears a depiction of Buddha sitting cross-legged with one hand on his knee and the other in his lap. The lone limestone hill was originally used to supply supplies to the local construction industry. On the recommendation of the then Supreme Patriarch, who felt it would be a waste of a perfectly good (and particularly beautiful) mountain, the 109-meter-tall and 70-meter-wide image was carved into the rock and then marked out in gold in 1996 to commemorate His Majesty the King of Thailand's golden jubilee. The image was created with computer software and then laser-etched onto the side of Khao Chi Chan. This was completed totally at night to allow the laser's light to be viewed more clearly. The image would be fixed and updated during the day. Khao Chi Chan Buddha#songkran2024 Beautiful place with well kept ground and a good view of the Buddha in the mountain. Could probably do the whole thing in about 30 minutes as the grounds are quite small. Not much shade available so bring a hat/umbrella if it's a sunny day.Tala_Travel10

Khao Chi Chan Buddha#thailandtrip What a lovely experience. Went on a Sunday in March. While the parking Iot was busy (did find a spot) it was less busy when I left. Food and souvenir vendors around parking lot. Even with other visitors it seemed serene. Many areas marked and unmarked to rest (shade) and contemplate and meditate. Grounds are in nice shape (except where people walk on the grass (signs politely ask people not to go on grass) with lots of color. I appreciated the two beautiful Bodhi Trees that were planted there by the King in 2000. You can even support (volunteer $ donation of your choice) the bodhi trees by placing some soil on the roots. Nice walking g paths meandering through the space and agin quit serene. Highly recommend.KrisAdventure_192

Came on February 11, 2023. Qizhen Foshan can also be regarded as a landmark attraction in Pattaya. The Buddha on this cliff was built in 1996 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the accession of King Lama IX. First, a slope of the mountain was polished and then "painted" with a laser, and then embedded with gold foil. This Buddha statue is more than 100 meters high and is very spectacular. This attraction is relatively simple, mainly to look at Foshan, take pictures and punch in. If you are interested, you can look at the reason for the whole project and the construction process in the scenic area. This attraction is in the suburbs of Pattaya, so you need to rent a car or drive by yourself.
