Wenchang Palace is located on the west side of the ancient city of Lion Rock. It was built in the first year of Qing Dynasty (1723), and was rebuilt for Yang Tong, the first Zhifu in Lijiang. It is a Taoist temple in Lijiang Ancient City. Wenchang Palace is the Taoist Secondary School's "Wenchang Emperor" Taoist view of the "Wenchang Emperor". Historically, every year on the third day of February, local officials, squires, socialites and students held a grand sacrifice in the palace, praying for the prosperity of local culture, talent, financial resources, and smooth wind and rain.
