The Bamburg Cathedral is a brick-red late Roman-style building, which has been burned twice and rebuilt twice in more than 200 years, and the four high towers have different styles. The interior of the church is simple and even the reliefs are exquisite but not luxurious.

The Bamberg Cathedral was first built in 1002 by Emperor Henry II and completed in May 1012. It was designed in Gothic style, but was rebuilt in the 13th century after some of the church was burned down. There is no charge for entering the church, and there are many precious art works hidden inside the church.

The Bamburg is the city of the millennium bishops, and the sculptures of large and small in the city show a strong religious atmosphere. The cathedral is located at the highest end of the old city and is the crystallization of traditional Roman and Gothic architecture. There is also a rare burial of a pope, Pope Clement II, who was once Bishop of Bamberg, the only papal cemetery north of the Alps.

The DOM square in Bamberg is the huge square between Bamberg Cathedral and the New Palace, the old Palace, which is the most lively place in Bamberg, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and sometimes there are concerts or light shows, which is very interesting.

The Bamberg City Cathedral is very majestic and simple, worthy of the famous World Heritage Site. The walls of the church are carved with unnamed knights representing Bamberg. There are several tombs below the palace, which may be the tombs of the bishops of the past. Because I can't understand German, I didn't visit it.

Neue Residenz located in the heart of Bamberg Old Town, on a small hill with the cathedral. The building is grand and the interior is beautifully decorated, and the garden can also overlook some of the city's red roofs.
