The Cathedral of Notre Dame Guanajuato was built from 1671 to 1696, and this yellow red-topped church overlooking the city from the top of the mountain, echoing the white University of Guanajuato behind it. The church contains a 1,000-year-old statue donated by King Charles I of Spain, who protected the city from Arab invasion.
