Enter from the southeast gate of the Botanical Garden and walk to the east, and you will soon reach the Cao Xueqi Memorial Hall in Huangye Village. The exhibition of the memorial hall should be updated in recent years. The exhibition hall is not big and the content is not bad.

Cao Xueqi Memorial Hall is located at No. 39 Zhengbaiqi Village, Sijiqing Township, Haidian District, Beijing. It is the place where Cao Xueqi lived in his later years. It opened in 1983 and covers an area of 3,000 square meters. The collection mainly contains Cao Xueqi's cultural relics and physical imitations described in the famous book "Dream of Red Mansions".

Cao Xueqi's Former Residence Memorial Hall is located in the northeast corner of Ciqikou, Chongwenmenwai Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing, and is the former courtyard 207 Guangqumen Inner Street. In 2002, it was announced as the original Chongwen District cultural relics census registration project. During the 22-year restoration process from 2000 to the present, the cultural relics department of Dongcheng District has been adhering to the rigorous, scientific and solid attitude, so that the cultural relics building retains its valuable historical value. Cao Xueqian's former residence covers an area of 790 square meters, three-way houses, and the construction area is about 440 square meters. The "seventeen and a half rooms" were rebuilt according to the photos left when demolition, and referenced the photos of the documents of the same period and the suggestions of Hongxue experts. The roof was still built in the shape of the Qing Dynasty. The roof was still framed with wooden structure. The process and raw materials were used in the shape of the Qing Dynasty. The old objects that were demolished at the time were also used as much as possible during the construction process. In January 2019, the restoration project of Cao Xueqian's former residence was officially launched. In October 2020, the restoration project of Cao Xueqian's former residence Memorial Hall in Beijing was completed. After careful research and exhibition, the museum opened on July 29, 2022.

Cao Xueqi's only former residence in Beijing is expected to be rebuilt within the year. The address is located on the northeast side of the intersection of Ciqikou in Dongcheng District, which is near the original site of Cao Xueqi's 17 half-house residence in the garlic city area outside Chongwenmen recorded in the historical materials. Cao Xueqi came here with his family about ten years old. After living for more than ten years, the family sold the house due to economic constraints. Cao Xueqi lived in this area for an important period of Cao Xueqian's "Dream of Red Mansions" thought formation. In 2000, because the location is in the construction section of Liangguang Road, Cao Xueqian's former residence has to be demolished after argument. On the morning of July 29, 2022, after the renovation, the memorial hall of Cao Xueqi's former residence in the northeast corner of Ciqikou, Chongwai Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing (formerly No. 207 Guangnei Street, 17 and a half of the garlic city entrance recorded in historical materials) ushered in a grand opening ceremony. This is a new milestone in the study of Cao Xueqian and the Red Mansion Dream culture. From July 30, the memorial hall of Cao Xueqian's former residence will be open to the public by appointment.

＂ Cao Xueqi Memorial Hall ＂ is located in Zhengbaiqi Village, Sijiqing Township, Haidian District, Beijing (inside the Beijing Botanical Garden). Cao Xueqi (1715～ 1764) is a great literary artist in China in the 18th century and the author of the famous long novel "Dream of Red Mansions". In the sixty-seven years of Qing Kangxi (1728), his father Cao Yu was copied to Beijing due to economic losses. He first lived in the garlic city outside Chongwenmen, and after several relocations, he returned to Xiangshan Zhengbaiqi's ancestral residence in about nine years (1744). He lived a poor life here, and was bereaved by his middle-aged wife and the pain of his sister-in-law in his old age. It took 10 years to write 80 times in "Dream of Red Mansions." On April 4, 1971, the owner of Zhengbaiqi 39 found ink on the wall of the western wall of the west house. Some red scientists believe that it is related to Cao Xueqi. This should be ＂ Cao Xueqi's former residence ＂. On April 22, 1983, the Cao Xueqian Research Association of China established ＂ Cao Xueqian Memorial Hall ＂, the hall name is Mr. Fu Jie.
