Upon arrival in Istanbul, we took a cruise boat tour of the Bosporus Strait. Bosporus Strait is not only a strategic destination of Turkey, but also a tourist attraction in downtown Istanbul. Its two sides are the flourishing area of this beautiful city across Europe and Asia, so it is also the geographical boundary of Eurasia. The guide told us that the whole Strait is 30.4 kilometers long, 2.4 kilometers wide, 708 meters narrowest, 80 meters deepest and 27.5 meters shallowest. It connects the Black Sea to the north, the Marmara Sea to the South and the Mediterranean Sea to the north. While waiting for the boat at the dock, we could clearly see the magnificent bridge connecting Eurasia across the Strait in the distance. The sea-crossing bridge, also known as the Bosporus Strait Bridge, was built in 1968. It was built in the narrowest part of the Bosporus Strait and was officially opened to traffic in October 1973. Cruise ships pass smoothly through the Eurasian Bridge, which is the largest cable suspension bridge in Eurasia and the fourth largest suspension bridge in the world. Turning further into a bay, we can see the Eurasian Second Bridge. Looking from a distance, the bridge sitting on the sea is like a giant dragon lying across. This is the second Strait Bridge in the Bosporus Strait. Built on December 4, 1985, it is jointly constructed by the Turkish government, Japan and Italy, and is located about 5 kilometers north of the first bridge. The total length of the bridge is 1510 meters, 17 meters longer than the first bridge, and it is the sixth largest suspension bridge in the world. A few days later, after the tour of the new palace, we took a bus across the Bosporus Strait to visit the Asian city of Istanbul. The car crossed the Eurasian Bridge and reached the top of a hill in Istanbul's Asian urban area. Many kinds of tulips are blooming in the Peak Park. They are very colorful and gorgeous. Many local residents take a vacation here. Standing at the top of the hill, you can see the Bosporus Strait and two Eurasian Bridges. The European city opposite Istanbul is vividly visible, while the Asian city of Istanbul is at your feet. The scenery here is indeed infinite and beautiful.
