Built in the mid-19th century, he was one of Singapore's rare closed bridges, connecting the two sides of the Singapore River. On one side, the old General Post Office is now the Fuliton Hotel. On the other side, there is a museum and a statue of Raffles, across the beautiful Singapore River.
