The Botanical Garden of Christchurch was built in July 1863. The natural wetlands and dunes of that year have now been transformed into beautiful gardens with beautiful flowers. The botanical garden covers an area of 30 hectares and has 10 gardens with different styles. There are more than 10,000 native or introduced plant species. Most of these gardens are located in the Avon River Basin. It has to be said that the botanical garden is really too big. After two hours'strolling, it is only a quarter of the time. It's interesting to see ducks and ducks in the Avon River and take dolls in the playground. Next to it is the Canterbury Museum.
