Tzu Chi Palace at Qingjiao Village, Haicang, was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was repaired by the people in memory of Wu Ben, a famous doctor of the Song Dynasty. When I came to the Tzu Chi Palace on the Green Reef, I didn't feel anything special at first. But when I saw the paintings on the gate and the wood carvings on the beam of the palace, I was amazed by their magnificence and beauty. No wonder there is the name of palace architecture here. What amazes me most is the wood carving on the cross beam of the hall. The cross beam has two layers. The upper layer depicts all kinds of classical stories on the beam with gold. The second layer is hollow carving and gold lacquer. At this time, I really regret that my camera's sensitivity is not good enough to take a better picture of this beautiful building. By contrast, the beams in the inner hall are not so beautiful. They are painted red. I wonder if they are mahogany. Following a row of stairs (with all the statues of famous ancient doctors on the edge), I went to Longhuang Temple, where Wu Zhenren, Jiangxian Palace and Zhang Sheng were enshrined. They are all real people, and they are respected and worshipped by later generations for being citizens. But what attracts me most is the architecture of Longjian Temple, especially the decoration on the eaves and the design of the cornices.
