Edinburgh Castle stands on an extinct volcano in the center of the city. Its history can be traced back to the 6th century. As a royal residence, military fortress and prison, Edinburgh Castle is a witness of Scottish history and has been listed as a world cultural heritage. This is the highest point of Edinburgh. From the castle, you can have a panoramic view of Edinburgh. There are old cannons, bell towers, prisons, halls, war museums, palaces and so on in the castle. We saw the changing ceremony at the entrance of the war museum, and also saw the "Stone of Destiny" (the cornerstone of the king's ascension, not photographs). The castle is very large and strong. The guards in Scottish skirts at the gate of the castle are very interesting. Tourists take pictures of it and take pictures of it.
