Guangzhou Museum of Modern History Review

Guangzhou Museum of Modern History, also known as Guangdong Revolutionary History Museum, is located in the cemetery of Guangzhou Uprising Martyrs, and is a comprehensive museum displaying the nearly 100-year history of Guangzhou. The building was built in 1909, the former site of the Guangdong Advisory Bureau in the late Qing Dynasty, and is a Roman-style parliament building with an area of about 2,400 square meters. The museum is a provincial and municipal patriotic education base. The current "Modern Guangzhou" large-scale display, exhibiting more than 800 cultural relics (sets), more than 270 photos, and using a variety of display methods such as sound, light, electricity and multimedia, truly reproduced the history of the liberation of Guangzhou from the outbreak of the Opium War in 1840 to the liberation of Guangzhou in 1949.
