Half Moon Island in the southeastern Bahamas is a private island long-term leased by Holme Cruise Lines and Carnival Cruise Lines for visitors to both cruise companies. It is characterized by two half moon-shaped quality beaches and lagoons, each about 15 kilometres long. The vegetation is dense and most areas are classified as wild bird sanctuaries.
