Beilongyu is located in the northernmost part of the Ishikari Plain in the Konchi area of Hokkaido. It takes only two hours to drive from Hokkaido Sapporo City to the North Dragon Sapporo, known as Japan's first sunflower town. The history of growing sunflowers in Beilongyu dates back to 1979.
