This little museum is easy to overlook, tucked between Topkapi Palace and Hagai Sophia, but is actually worth finding for a visit. Admission is reasonable and I believe it's also on the multi-museum pass you can buy.

The archaeological museum does not have a Chinese audio guide, so it looks fast. There are quite a lot of cultural relics inside, all from ancient Greece and ancient Rome. I saw the treasure of the town hall from the Alexander sarcophagus and the mourning woman sarcophagus (exquisitely carved, mourning comes to my face). The tile pavilion and the Oriental pavilion were closed when we went. You can have a cup of coffee in the cafe yard where the sculptures are everywhere.

Every time I go to a country and a city, I always like to go to the local museums and galleries. I hope to understand the local characteristic culture, customs and habits, and the historical development process from these historical exhibits. I have a deeper understanding of this country and the city. Avoid being a rush passer-by to see flowers~If you are traveling with taxis and taxis, I especially recommend a museum with a long history and rich exhibits to give you a more incisive understanding of the historical development of this area. Istanbul Archaeological Museum Introduction Istanbul Archaeological Museum is the largest and most complete museum blood of Shier, showing a large number of precious cultural relics reflecting the civilizations of Sumer, Babylon, Assyria, Hati, Hittite and other civilizations. The museum was located in the first courtyard of the Topkapa Palace. When a shepherd dug a well at the Royal Cemetery, he found many sarcophagus, so the government built the museum on the spot and established it in 1891. The museum consists of three parts: Archaeological Museum (main building), Ancient Oriental Museum, Islamic Art Museum, collection of more than 1 million artifacts, from Sumerian monuments to marble sculptures of Babylon and Roman times, showcasing almost all periods and civilizations in world history

The Istanbul Archaeological Museum is located not far from the west of the Topkap Palace. The preserved Alexander sarcophagus can be seen in the treasure trove of ancient treasures. The ancient oriental museum displays a large number of precious cultural relics reflecting the civilizations of Sumerian, Babylon, Assyrian, Hatti and Hittite.

The Istanbul Archaeological Museum is right next to the old palace and is a very overlooked attraction. Tickets 20 lira, you can buy a package of 85 lira, including it. This museum is a little smaller, but the collection is quite rich and worth seeing. The key is that there are fewer tourists, and you can enjoy the collection with peace of mind, very comfortable. recommend!
