Carlmen is the West Gate built by Louis IV as a defensive fortification and an important access to Munich's historic center. The gate on the west side of Munich's old city separates the old city from the suburbs of Ludwig. Now there are no wooden doors left, only three stone doors are left behind. Walking street, shops, restaurants are better than living nearby.
