A beautiful and ancient church that has been changed and modified innumerable times in its 900 year history. I'm not religious, but there is something peaceful and majestic about this building nonetheless. I sat in contemplation inside for some time. Admire the architecture within, its large sweeping archways and sturdy pillars.

The oldest Catholic church in Lisbon, located in the middle of the Alfama district of the old town, is behind the site of a Roman theatre, which is being excavated and repaired. It is also well preserved after the Lisbon earthquake! The stained glass inside the church is beautiful!

Lisbon has experienced unprecedented earthquakes and subsequent fires, and today the cathedral was restored in 1930 (the south wall inside the church is a set of light boxes that clearly describe the restoration process). It is worth mentioning that this church also combines multiple styles of architecture: such as fortress-like clock towers, Gothic-style rose windows, etc., which are deeply magnificent.

The main church of Lisbon is located in the city center, just a short walk away, and the famous 28 tram will pass by, and many tourists like to capture pictures of trams passing by the church door. The church is free to enter, like many of the city's main churches, is a place for locals to pray, and access to the visit needs to be very quiet.

On the way to St. George's Castle, the cathedral itself does not need admission tickets, but visiting the chapel and treasure room requires 4 euros (2.5 euros each separately). Many beggars at the entrance are less tranquil than other churches. The former is the back of the Roman church before it is converted into a Gothic church, so it still has the decoration of the Roman church.

I came to Lisbon yesterday. Today, a day trip, Lisbon Cathedral is the key attraction. This church is the oldest church in Europe. Although it is not big, it has a long historical background and is definitely a tour. The decoration inside is magnificent, a word stick

It's magnificent and solemn. Many art treasures can be seen. Like European churches, Lisbon Catholic Church, European first-class churches. The square is big. Watch out for thieves. While waiting for the bus, I saw a young Gypsy mother with a small child, a pushcart, who was actually a thief.
