One of the most worthwhile places to visit in Hawaii is the Makapuu Lookout, which is located on the Kalanianaole Hwy road at the easternmost end of Honolulu, Oahu Island, and can be reached without hiking. Not only do you have a good view of the Windward Coast, but the famous Makapuu Beach Park is also in front of you. There are still some remaining castles beside the viewing platform! Look at the two nearby islands, Manan Island or Rabbit Island, and the smaller island, Kohikaipu Island, which are now seabird reserves. Rabbit Island not only looks like a rabbit's skull in Chengdu, but it did introduce rabbits in the past. However, rabbits did great damage to the island's ecological environment, and then they were extinguished! Rabbit Island is also one of the several extinct craters on Oahu Island. It is not allowed to wait without permission from the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources of Hawaii. The island is now a seabird sanctuary with nearly 100,000 seabirds and many Hawaiian monk seals. By Youli Zhao
