Merchant Exchange Building Review

The building is a historic building in Philadelphia and is the earliest existing securities trading site in the United States. It is marked on the local guide map of Philadelphia. The building is located on a triangle in the middle of three roads. The square in front is paved with stones and has a sense of history. The building was designed by William Strickland, a native Philadelphia architect from 1832 to 1834, in a Greek revival style. The all-white exterior is conspicuous. Originally built as a brokerage firm, the venue for commodity trading, the function was replaced by the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
