Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, located in the rocky area, is located to the northwest of the ring pier and to the southwest of the Sydney Opera House. The Museum of Contemporary Art, funded by the Australian foreign artist John Power, was opened to the public in November 1991. Early sandstone buildings in the south, with heavy classical art decoration, narrow corridors and low ceilings, do not make it a perfect space to show modern art. With the continuous expansion of the collection and the steady increase of the audience, the demand for more space for museums is growing rapidly. Sam Marshall, Sydney architect, was appointed to add a new building to the parking lot on the North side, with three galleries, a cafe, a sculpture platform, an education center and a lecture hall. Outwardly, the styles of the two buildings are completely different, while indoors, Sam Marshall perfectly merges them, making it almost impossible to distinguish between one building and the other. Taking into account the location of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House, the museum is not suitable for landmark buildings that have been made noisy. Sam Marshall accomplished this task well. The museum he designed is elegant and elegant. It consists of a chain of cubes and rectangles. The depth of different colors and huge glass windows makes it modern. The museum is open to the outside world free of charge. This time is short and it is not visited inside.
