Nanping Museum Review

Nanping Museum, located at No. 266 Makeng Road, Nanping City, Fujian Province, covers an area of 4171 square meters, with a construction area of 6368 square meters. It is a national comprehensive museum. In 1984, it began to be built. In October 1986, it officially opened. In 1994, Nanping was relocated to the city, and the former Nanping City was changed to Yanping District. Nanping City Museum was also upgraded to a prefectural-level museum. In 2005, the new museum of Nanping City Museum opened and opened for free on November 28, 2011.

Nanping City Museum is located in the downtown area of Nanping, with more than 10,000 pieces of collection. Among them, the noble tomb relics unearthed in the 1980s can be studied by archaeologists and provide strong evidence for the descendants of Yue Wang who is Yue Wang Goujian.

According to the official website of Nanping City Museum in February 2022, Nanping City Museum has a collection of 6,326 pieces/set, of which the number of precious cultural relics is 2105 pieces/set (two pieces/sets of first-class cultural relics, 45 pieces/sets of second-class cultural relics, 2058 pieces/sets of third-class cultural relics), general cultural relics 3,305 pieces/set, and 916 pieces/sets of other collections. There are ceramic boutiques, ancient coins, jade, calligraphy and painting, iron, bronze, four treasures of the study, wood ancient carvings, etc.

Nanping Museum has seven floors, of which: the first floor is a temporary comprehensive exhibition hall, of which the exhibition hall area is about 1200 square meters; the first floor is a boutique cultural relics exhibition hall, of which the exhibition hall area is 550 square meters; The second to fourth floors are the basic exhibition halls, with a total area of 2,200 square meters for the basic exhibition exhibition of "Five Years of Northern Fujian"; the fifth floor is the cultural relics warehouse and business room; the sixth floor is the academic report hall.
