Nha Tho Cha Tam (Cha Tam Church) Review

The Church of St. Joseph was built between 1921 and 1924. This church is a Byzantine style, imitating the Italian Cathedral of Santa Vitaly, quite different from most Gothic or Roman churches in Vietnam, using a lot of gorgeous and high-quality building materials such as high-grade wood and marble. Considered one of the most beautiful and largest churches by locals, it is worth visiting for photos. Opposite this church is the night market - Hạnh Thông Ty Market. Many locals will go shopping there. The price of goods is relatively real. It is also very pleasant to visit the night market when you come to the church.

Next to the lively market, the range of the church immediately becomes much quieter. Nice building is perfect for taking pictures, and there is a small shop next to it for drinks and a break. The church is one of the most special churches I have ever encountered in Chinese colors. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when I went there. There was no way to have the sun shining on the church's strong pink, and because Christmas was coming soon, some places were arranged, and pay attention when you go. Basically, this is a cathedral in the heart of Ho Chi Minh. I think it is an Anglican church. There was actually a rehearsal for a wedding on the day we arrived, so we couldn't risk going too far. The tall building, it looked amazing.

Once again, I came to this church. I don't know what the Chinese name is. But the construction of the church is very meaningful. The statue of Jesus is worth taking pictures. The church often carries out activities. I didn't open the door when I came that day. Usually at 5 or 6 p.m., the believers gathered here to pray.

I found this church in the Chinatown area, which had a history of coup in November 1963, when the Catholic President and his brother hid there during the coup. The church was usually closed, except for the time of the activity, but the courtyard was accessible.

The building is very beautiful. It happened to be Mass time, and after a while, it was solemn, dignified and watertight. The power of faith is miraculous!
