Peitian Ancient Residence is located in Xuanhe Township, Liancheng County, western Fujian Province. It has a history of 800 years, and it still preserves a relatively complete group of ancient residential buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Because of its extensive architecture, well-protected, rich collection and profound culture, it is admired by the outside world. It is a classic Hakka architectural culture comparable to Yongding Tulou, and is praised as "the first village of Fujian folk residence". Although this ancient residential village of Peitian in Liancheng is a toll-paying scenic spot, its interior still retains its original architectural appearance, and has hardly undergone large-scale renovation. There are hardly any new modern buildings in the village. History seems to have solidified here. Time seems to have been fixed more than a hundred years ago. Most of the ancient buildings in the village have not been repainted, leaving traces of history and preserving the original Hakka cultural characteristics.
