There are some historical tours on the boat and the local area. If you want to hear history, you can find a tour, but we still went shopping by ourselves. The first stop is the Pirate Museum, on the southwest side of the port. The Bahamas is home to pirates in the Caribbean, and the seaport of Nassau is a perfect hideout for pirates and looters, regardless of weather. In 1670, Nassau was established as a commercial port, but soon it was occupied by lawless sailors, who for years had been a stronghold of pirates, looters, and wreckers, making Nassau notorious. They often fake "lighthouses" on cliffs, lure ships to rocks and rob cargo.
