The fountain is a 14th century fountain located in the Grand Bazaar Square in Nuremberg, Germany, adjacent to the City Hall, one of the city's main attractions. The fountain is 19 meters high and is in the shape of a Gothic minaret. The fountain is decorated with 40 statues representing the world view of the Holy Roman Empire. They are philosophy, the seven arts of freedom, the four gospel writers, the four godfathers, the seven emperors, the nine jays, Moses and the seven prophets. There are two brass rings on the fountain's fence, and it is said that rotating them can bring good luck.
