The Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Bridge across the Beilun River bridges the friendship between the two peoples and represents the development of bilateral relations. The old generation of Dongxing people once left a famous saying: Bridges are popular. In the 1930s and 1940s, Dongxing became the main trading port between China and Southeast Asia, as well as the United States, Japan, Britain and France. Chinese and foreign businessmen flocked together. Trade in trade, finance and gold was very active, known as small Hong Kong and so on. Today, Dongxing Port has become a national first-class port, and the Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Bridge has become a major channel for international trade, border trade and cross-border tourism. It is the third mainland crossing in China, with more than 3 million people entering and leaving the country last year.
