Nanputuo Temple is located in the southeast of Xiamen City, Fujian Province, under the Five Old Peaks, facing the Bicheng Harbour, the temple covers an area of 258,000 square meters, with a building area of 212.7 million square meters. Founded in the late Tang Dynasty, Sizhou Temple was renamed Puzhao Temple in the Song Dynasty. In the early Ming Dynasty, the temple was desolate. It was not rebuilt until Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. Because of its worship of Guanyin Bodhisattva, similar to the Guanyin Taoist Temple in Putuo Mountain, Zhejiang Province, it was named "Nanputuo Temple" to the south of Putuo Mountain, which is one of the Buddhist resorts in southern Fujian. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the blood scriptures "Miaofa Lianhua Jing" and the famous works of He Dynasty, such as White Porcelain Guanyin, were the most precious. The main buildings on the central axis of Nanpusui Temple are Tianwangdian Hall, Daxiong Palace, Dabei Hall, Tibetan Jingge and so on. Bell and Drum Tower, Zen Hall, living room, warehouse, and Minnan Buddhist Academy, Buddhist Orthodox, there are free life pools in front of the temple, after the temple in recent years, new "Taixu Master Memorial Tower". The temple is magnificent and orderly. Nanputuo Temple is a national key Buddhist temple in the Han nationality area, the Sixth Batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in Fujian Province, and one of the eight scenic spots in Xiamen. Tickets are not accepted here. At the gate of the temple, there are free incenses for pilgrims to collect. Outside the temple, burn.
