First arrived is Stallenberg, South Africa's second oldest town, 40 minutes drive from Cape Town. Stallenberg has one of South Africa's oldest universities. Founded in 1865, Stellenbosch University is a comprehensive university and the only university in South Africa that fully uses Afrikaans teaching, there are several colleges, and I heard that there are Confucius Institutes. The university is known as the think tank of white Dutch people in South Africa for cultivating many apartheid-era leaders. The oak is the hallmark of the Stellenbosch and it is South Africa's premier wine kingdom. Walking into Stallenbergs is like walking into a quiet and beautiful French town. The tall and stout century-old oak trees are everywhere on both sides of the European-style streets, elegant King George and Victorian architecture abound, and the old church, built in 1686, is gorgeous and solemn. The picturesque scenery makes it worthy of being the most beautiful town in Cape Town.
