Wugutai, located 5 kilometers northeast of Huaiyang County, has a high soil table and a wide area of 10 mu. According to legend, it is the place where Yandi Shennong taught people to plant grain. Nearby there is Shennong well, which is excavated to irrigate grain for Shennong religious people. In the Shennong era, Emperor Yan taught people to grow five kinds of grain to satisfy their hunger. Emperor Yan divided the grain into five kinds. They were named rice, millet, millet, wheat, tobacco. Emperor Yan thrived on farming here, knew about farming and planted five kinds of grain, so he became the founder of traditional agriculture in China. Shennong has also personally tasted hundreds of herbs, invented herbal medicine, treated people, and was respected as the founder of the motherland's medicine. Legend has it that Emperor Yan Shennong, who was in power for 140 years, died of illness when he visited Changsha Tea Village, aged 168. Emperor Yan Shennong "Du Yu Chen" completed the great transformation from hunting to agriculture. The Huanghuai Plain centered around Huaiyang was originally the birthplace of Chinese agriculture, and later generations respected Emperor Yan as the first "Five Emperors" and deserved it.
