the bund Shanghai is amazing! i went there during winter and the weather is good with not that many tourists. it is highly recommended to stay somewhere near but everywhere is walking distance.

Different architectural buildings in one area, one side is modern, massive skyscapers, and few blocks away is a big garden with ancient, typical chinese temple. Best time to visit in the late afternoon and at night when all lights is on.
