Zagreb Cathedral, commonly known as one of Zagreb's landmark buildings, was destroyed in the 1880 earthquake in Gothic style, and later rebuilt in 1899. The front and side walls of the cathedral also show the contrast between the old and the new top of the cathedral. The relatively simple and well-preserved frescoes of the 13th century are amazing Renaissance benches, marble altars and Baroque-style pulpits.
