Zhangye Memorial Hall is a cemetery-style humanistic landscape built on the tomb of Zhangye, a famous diplomat, explorer and pioneer of the Silk Road in the West Han Dynasty. It was as early as August 1956. Zhang Yu's Tomb was listed as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units by the Shaanxi People's Committee . In May 1983, the Chengzhou People's Government established the "Zhang Yu's Tomb Cultural Relics Management Office" . as a special protection institution for Zhang Yu's Tomb . and officially began operation . in 1990 and was renamed "Zhang Yu Memorial Hall".
