Arsenalbar Review

The friendly ancient lions keep watch over the Arsenale and for gatti lovers this is a dreamy spot, a corner spot to sit outside and people watch. It's off the beaten path and for the most part quiet. On cold winter days you can sit inside. At Carnival it's a place for professional photographers to photograph costumed Carnival goers. The bar is tiny, they play great music and the pannini and tramezzini (triangle cut sandwiches on white bread with tuna and olive or tiny shrimp and egg and mayonnaise) are really good and some of the best in Castello. The coffees and spritz very good.The owners are serious and need a little encouragement to smile and warm up to you but they are friendly. It's cash only. We never miss an opportunity to have a light lunch there. It's a great little neighborhood bar.
