Hacker-Pschorr Hamburg Review

On a sunday afternoon we went to Hacker Pschorr in order to have a nice Bavarian beer. As we entered the waitress said we could have a seat wherever we wanted. After having sat down at a table in the empty restaurant, she came to us, wondering:" So you chose this table, if other people are coming you will have to sit elsewhere." Strange enough, because there was no demand of other people, and we usually sit down at this table. It seems the place is not very keen on finding friendly staff.

We were really looking forward to have a bavarian style dinner - unfortunately the title says it all... We had to wait for more than 15min to place our order, although the restaurant was not full, at all. The side dishes "Knödel" and "Kartoffelsalat" were basically from a supermarket - not homemade, unfortunately. The bavarian kitchen has way more to offer and this restaurant won't see us again. Well, maybe for a beer only.

It was all prepared in the frying pan. Shame on your kitchen staff! No taste. To much fat. Only the beer was good.
