Stepping into Shaughnessy is not so much a restaurant as a garden and art gallery. The medieval chandeliers hang from the wooden roof, and the paintings on the walls are black and white and gentle. Outside the window, the Vanusen Botanical Garden is full of greenery. The red and green umbrellas are in the bright sun, like Monet's impression painting. The background music is soft and soothing, or sad and low, and seems to be pulling out your mind. In this environment, the notes and sunlight are like jumping on the knife and fork to share time with you.
