Just Salad Review

Over the course of our 10 day visit to New York, we were aware that food choices were important. Sure, we had to try the hot dogs and Pizza, but whilst travelling it is important to stay healthy. We were delighted to stumble into this wonderful paradise of fresh and healthy food. Great salads abounded! You can choose from their ready made salads or simply specify what you would like to be made up. The food is cut and prepared in front of you and is served in generous portions. Also on the menu are salad wraps, this is the option that we went for. We ordered:- Sweet potato and avocado wrap And Falafel wrap You specify which dressing you would like. Helpfully the dressings are all listed along with their energy content so making healthy choices is easy. I discovered that falafel with straight lemon juice is to die for!! Overall, Just Salad represents a healthy and well priced alternative that will keep you going all day. (Their smoothies are fantastic as well).

Went past Just Salad and was after something healthy so this fitted the bill. They make the salad in front of you and chop it up and it tasted really good. I think it was close to closing time when we were there so was limited seating but we got a seat. Would go here again.

One of the most popular restaurants on the Rockefeller Center Concourse, Just Salad is a hit. But the engineer who designed it gets a massive Fail for ignoring the acoustics. 50-70 people stuffed into long lines for two- to three hours make a lot of noise. I stopped going because I had to shout for the salad pickers to help me. A great idea, and good salads, but I can't bear to have to shout to communicate my order. Give it a skip if you're the same way.
