Sweetgreen Review

Working for a few days in DC, I found this spot and returned daily for lunch. Excellent fresh veggies with plenty of options for a 'heartier' or lighter style of salad. As a Brit who finds salads in the U.S. to be heavy on the dressing, I found it refreshing to be asked how much dressing I wanted. Deservedly busy at lunch time. Worth queuing for.

Salads so big no normal person could finish them. Fresh, plenty of ingredients (not padded out with letuce), though a bit heavy on the kale. For ten bucks you won't find a better lunch.

Custom made salads. Choose your ingredients and type of dressing and they make it right in front of you. You can get crazy or just choose one of their recommendations. They even let you choose the amount of dressing so if you like just a bit or like it dripping you'll be happy. The bread is fantastic rustic crusty wholewheat. The salad is huge but we managed to eat the whole thing anyway.
