The staff went all out to make the many Mom's eating there to feel very special. Each mom was given a beautiful white long stemmed rose. The window seats are are great place to people watch as they look out onto Kensington road. The brunch was delicious with two of the four of us of us enjoying the Duck Eggs Benny on the special Mother's Day menu.

We stopped for dinner at Winebar on our way to the Silver Jubilee Auditorium. It was a surprise discovery. It was on the lower floor with open windows to the sky and was a comfortable space to sit down and have a drink.

Fantastic food and service. We have eaten here on previous visits to Calgary and this time was even better than I remembered! Our daughter and her new husband had their wedding reception here on May 17/16 and everything was wonderful!

Favourite spot for lunch close by. Great service, great coffee, lovely menu and daily specials. Duck confit poutine is a treat!

We came for a double date with friends and expected a casual yet high-end dinner. We ordered beers and champagne to start our dinner and had four appetizers all which were very good. Later, when the mains came the disappointment began. The lamb dish didn't come as described on the menu and was mostly couscous (supposed to be bulgur) a large fatty piece of mutton tasting lamb and fried onions. There was supposed to be vegetables but they were forgotten somewhere in the bowl full of starch and missing horseradish cream and jus. I'd have let the waitress know but she didn't come to check on us for the first 10 minutes with our mains, by everyone was half done picking their food over and it was too late to order again. My husband was disappointed with his "large dish" as he got three scallops and a minuscule amount of pork belly and like my dish, his was missing the stated vegetables. His dish looked like a $30 appetizer, not a $30 "large dish". The other 2 mains were "okay" as described by our friends, I didn't taste them so I can't comment further. At the end of the evening, we paid just over $350 for a disappointing dinner for four, if we had outstanding service and excellent food this would have been an appropriate bill. Unfortunately, the food was unimpressive and seemed to be prepared by undertrained, overworked hands. I'd recommend cocktails, wine, fries and popcorn here but not the mains. If we come back it'll only be for cocktails.
